Our Network
It's easy to see why we are a premier source of hosting solutions. All aspects
of our operations have been designed by specialists in areas such as Network Design,
Server Design and Web Server Architecture, combining their expertise to produce
an impressive solution to today's high-end web server demand.
Our network utilizes Border Gate Protocol (BGP4). BGP creates a truly redundant
network by routing IP traffic over the most efficient route possible. The network
is connected to the Internet backbone via multiple T-3 (45 Mbps) lines. Carriers
include UUNET, QWest and Sprint guaranteeing path optimization and load balancing.
OC-12 fiber-optic racks are installed on the premises.
Our network uses top-of-the-line Cisco Systems 7000 series backbone grade routers
on the core layer and Layer 3 switching on the distribution layer providing superior
segmentation and increased bandwidth across the backbone. Each server is connected
to it's own switched 100Mbps port reducing congestion and broadcast storms usually
associated with the use of hubs.
Bandwidth utilization is continuously monitored and is never allowed to exceed
40% of network capacity during peak load. The Network Operations Center completely
secured by a network of closed circuit cameras and card entrances.
The Network Operation Center is backed up by APC UPS and 100,000-watt Caterpillar
diesel generators. The network center is staffed 24x7x365 by highly trained Systems
Administrators and Network personnel
